Michael Pearson joined Global Coverage in 1989 as a sales representative and was the firm’s sixth employee. Over the course of his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, helping to expand annual premiums from under $5 million to more than twenty times that amount today. He was instrumental in transforming Global Coverage’s restaurant insurance practice from a small client base into a leading portfolio representing more than 400 restaurants across the country, including many of the world’s most prominent and successful establishments.
Prior to joining Global Coverage, Mr. Pearson began his career as a Commercial Lines Underwriter with Public Service Mutual. Today, he produces and manages a diverse book of business spanning commercial real estate, hospitality, and high‑net‑worth individuals, bringing deep industry insight and practical risk management expertise to each client relationship.
Mr. Pearson earned his degree in Restaurant and Hospitality Management from the University of Denver in 1988. He resides in Purchase, New York with his wife, Sue, and their two children.
